It's been a busy couple of months! We've brought in the new year with lots of snow, lots of school, lots of adventures...and Nella and Keagan just celebrated their 4th Birthday! It was quite a weekend of celebrating...NeeNee, PopPop, Grandad and Janny from Wichita. They all drove together! We chose Red Lobster as our birthday dinner spot...I think that Nella and Keagan just love the cheesy biscuits!
On Saturday morning, NeeNee, Janny, and Mommy took the girls to have their nails painted and their hair done!
After our fancy morning, NeeNee took the girls shopping for a new outfit! She took Nella and Keagan separately, so that they could really pick out what they wanted...without a sisterly opinion!
Upon our arrival home, the girls discovered new bikes! They were so excited...and, to our surprise, jumped on and began to ride! AWESOME!
After a little play outside, we all sat down for a rest before our party! I'm not sure who enjoyed "Tangled" more...the grandads or the girls?
Nella announced at the end of the movie that PopPop was her prince...and Keagan said that Grandad was her's. Pretty sweet!
At 3:00 we met around 25 of our preschool and family friends at Monkey Business for a crazy party!
Keagan and Ryder
When we came home from Monkey Business, Nella and Keagan discovered a bounce house in the basement...craziness was about to begin!
Our "Village" singing Happy Birthday! The girls, and Mom and Dad, are so blessed to have such an incredible community of friends helping raise Nella and Keagan. They have been there since before the girls were even a dream in our hearts...and it is an honor to celebrate their relationship with our family.
Instead of birthday presents, the girls asked their friends to make a donation for the puppies and kitties at the Colorado Dumb Friends League. On Monday, the girls sorted through all of the donations. It was an incredible experience and a good lesson in sharing with others.
Nella organized all of the kitty toys and Keagan organized all of the puppy toys. When we got to the CDFL, the staff treated the girls like royalty! They took their photo (I will post it when they email it to me!) and let the girls visit with all of the dogs and cats. The girls even picked out a couple of toys out of the donations that they put into the kitten home. They LOVED it!
This is a birthday memory that will last a lifetime!
